DS has just 'graduated' from reception!

Went to pick him up today and the whole class came out in home made mortar boards and carrying rolled up certificates. It was so sweet and DS is really pleased with himself.

I've just realised my DS is leaving reception in 5 days

Our pre-school did that today with all our little ones that are moving up to 'Big School'. They each went up to shake teachers hand and get their graduation certificate - such a sweet idea!!

DS's class have done the graduation thing early as it seems a lot of people, like us, are going to miss the last day of school because of going on holiday. I think, after today, that I am quite pleased that we wont be there for the last day otherwise I can see me needing a few packs of klennex! Daft twit huh? I need to get a grip and stop being such a softy.

My DS1 finishes reception tomorrow and tbh I am quite sad about it. I can't believe my little boy is finishing his first (successful!) year at school, I think I'll need the tissues to blub in too! I even cried on his last day at nursery
