Change in A Level MFL choices

I have heard that some languages will/may be dropped from A Level choices in a near future. Do anyone know about this? Where can I get information on this? Any information much appreciated!

Is it something to with the exam board Asset Languages?

The petition is over 12 months old so I am not sure what the outcome was, but there is talk in the link of it being effective from 2014.
