Schools in North London

I will be moving to North London before September 2014. I am looking for a private secondary school for my 12 year old (currently in year 8) and a good primary school (not private) for my 7 year old. My 12 year old could take a bus if needed but I would prefer to be close to the primary school. The areas I had in mind were Finchley, Mill Hill, Southgate but I am open to new other areas nearby. My other requirements would be to be near to a sports centre, swimming pool. My youngest daughter is keen on gymnastics and dance, so I'll be looking at what is available for her as well. I have a big job ahead of me in a short time, so any advice would be great!

I have no idea about North London as I'm not even in the right country, but the ladies on this board are very knowledgeable, so I'm sure someone will be along soon.

One thing I have learned since I started hanging out on this board is that you must have an address already before applying for state schools. Wouldn't affect your older one as they're going private, but would affect applications for your younger one. Not sure how soon before September 2014 you're planning to move.

Good luck!

really depends on your budget; but given what you want Muswell Hill has all these things...
