Is SEO helpful in Social Media Marketing?

I am pursuing my career in digital marketing.
I will appreciate if you can let me know that will it be useful for me to learn SEO even i'm building my career in digital marketing?

SEO is a vital part of Search Engine Marketing, along with PPC, and as such is a very important aspect of digital marketing. You can use a lot of what you learn about SEO with your digital marketing and your social media marketing. Especially from a perspective of learning how to do your keyword or keyphrase research.

Be careful though, SEO is such a hot topic that many courseproviders charge an arm an a leg for shite courses.

Look out for courses by The IDM (Institute of Direct and Digital Marketing)- they are very good.

You may get more replies in the freelance or Higher Education topic. I think this particular topic is more to do with primary and secondary - could be wrong though.
