What, again?

That'll larn him. If he learned to listen to professionals, take feedback, and understand the first thing about child psychology he might get to take fewer U-turns....Wink

hmmm.

Holliewantstobehot · 11/07/2013 23:01

well done to the people who fought this through the courts. Now we just need a few more u-turns or maybe a minister for education who lives in the real world and has some understanding that a one size fits all, psuedo retro education system will ultimately fail our kids and our country. In fact I think all education policy should be run past a committee of industry leaders, teachers and educational pyschologists who can find a way for the system to allow all our children to succeed, be happy and have the skills our country needs.

Why do we need exclamation marks for Gove backing down: surely u-turns are his signature mark. Can't we just have an emoticon?

I do wish they'd remove him from education and give him something less important to be in charge of. Working out how many 1p coins are out of circulation due to being stuck down the sides of sofas or something.

MrsShrek3 · 13/07/2013 08:01

yy picnic Grin

creamteas · 13/07/2013 15:22

I'm not that optimistic I'm afraid. I'm not an expert, but from my reading,
the Guidance was been withdrawn because he failed to consult. In other words they were considering the process not the content of the policy.

If this is the case, there is nothing to stop him doing the consultation properly and re-introducing the same Guidance......

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 13/07/2013 15:26

He is an idiot - but he is a bloody dangerous idiot.

nennypops · 13/07/2013 18:35

The trouble is that Gove's sole motivation is what will enhance his personal career. So he produced this guidance because it would make local authorities happy and save a bit of money, without caring in the least that it could be kicking extremely vulnerable children in the teeth. The man is a dangerous menace who should never have been allowed near education, or indeed any other position of responsibility.

Holliewantstobehot · 13/07/2013 20:14

Imagine if he runs for the leadership and becomes pm!!! Then we'll be even more in the shit!!!

Erebus · 16/07/2013 10:42

The upside of him becoming PM is that the Conservatives will be voted out of power for the next 2 or 3 terms! That's the silver lining in that one!

Holliewantstobehot · 16/07/2013 17:16

that's true - let's start a campaign, Gove for PM!!

Elibean · 16/07/2013 17:47

Actually, Holllie, I think you should run for pm - I lurve the running things past a board of experts and professionals idea Grin

LynetteScavo · 16/07/2013 17:51

Gove is too Ugly to be PM. Voters like a a pretty face, I've noticed.

Elibean · 16/07/2013 17:53

Hollie, you pretty?

Holliewantstobehot · 16/07/2013 18:44

was once before i gained three stone, became a single mum and found finding time to dye my roots almost impossible Grin. Anyway the tabloids wouldn't like me - single mum, on benefits (horror) and my kids sometimes eat nuggets (bigger horror)!

Elibean · 16/07/2013 20:21

Ah, Hollie, we could spin the nuggets into poulet croustillant, surely....Grin

Holliewantstobehot · 16/07/2013 22:10

avec pommes piquantes bouclees! (spicy curly fries)!!!
