October Half Term dates?

Just a quickie really - but when are the UK half term dates in October?
I know there may be some variation but want to book a holiday when it's cheaper (eg: term time) - so would week beginning 21st Oct or 28th be best?

both couls be problem for school hols. My Sussex prep has those 2 weeks off i'm afraid.

24th October to 1st November here so encompassing both weeks.

Do you think the w/c 21st is likely to be quieter then?
The 28th seems to be more the "norm" from what I've seen online.
MABS - I'm like you - we have two weeks off - hence deciding which will be the cheapest/quietest
