moving house - schools

Hi. My husband and I have two young daughters and due to his job we need to relocate to the elstree,herts area (from Devon). Can anyone recommend family friendly areas and good state schools within 5-10miles of this area please. We enjoy the outdoors so somewhere with a nice primary school, some countryside and nearby leisure facilities would be ideal.

I would suggest you try reporting with the area in the title. Also you could try posting in the local section, for my area replies might be slower but will be local and often very helpful.
