Today was the last time that I will see all of my year 11 kids as their exams will start after the holiday.

We put on a little 15 minute 'event' for them at the end of the lesson.

There were 74 of them in the room and they gave me, and their other two science teachers a round of applause!

I blubbled like a babe!

I alwys used to blub at the end of term - then I'd go out and celebrate never seeing the little whatnames ever again! lol

42 out of 74 are taking a level? that would suggest more than luck wouldn't it?

Blandmum · 25/05/2006 20:44

I'd like to think so Smile

However I 'got' them already very able and pro science. I have swung one or two of the lads to do biology as well as the other sciences (previously they had viewed it as too 'girly' LOL)

good for you Smile

Shame on you, MB! Grin

I was glad to see the back of Y11...

Very glad not to have my car egged.

I find the English system really weird in terms of leaving school. When I left school, we did it on the last day of the year in an evening concert (very 'speech day' like) and we always blubbed to the school song (still do 24 years later).
