Question about tutors for grammar.

Dd is y4 and we currently have a tutor once a month and will up this in September to weekly. She is very good and dd really likes her. However, having done some reading on here about tutors being familiar with format of papers etc I am a little worried. Dd is going for superselective - verbal and maths and her current tutor is new to tutoring so doesn't have experiences of entrance exams.
She is an ex teacher though and very good at English and maths. Would I be mad to change tutors? Do I need a specialist in verbal reasoning and/or someone with track record in getting children into this school? I am aware it will be too late to get someone at a later date.
Thanks.

Our school doesn't publish past papers. We didn't use a tutor but if we did, we would have gone with a tutor with experience of the exam.

If past papers are available then any good tutor will do with or without experience of entrance exams (11+ prep isn't exactly rocket science)

Jesus do you need to start 11+ prep in year 4?

No you don't. You could always follow the example of the mum in the other thread that started Easter of year 5 and became a cropper when she ran out of prep time.
