Hi, I am just completing a school appeal for my son, and am listing his practice sats results in argument. He did best in maths at 89% (level 5) and am just wondering if this is a very good score compared to others, or just average. if average, I won't list it as anything special! thanks for any advice

level 5 is good for y6, above average

I think they expect a Level 5 anyway, but just wondered if they would expect more than 89%, as don't want to put it down, and then look inadequate!

I think 89% is good. Its best to list anything that might help in an appeal.

We did Sats last year, results ranged from some 3s,an awful lot of 4s and plenty of 5s.
He's doing GREAT for year 6

Good luck with the appeal.
I was speaking to someone today and they have been told by the teacher not to bother with an appeal as its unusual to win Shock I advised her to try anyway. I know several people that have got in after appealing.
