A friend of mine is doing a degree in something or other and has to write about two major educational theories.

She doesnt know any.

I'd say to compare and contrast Vygotsky and Piaget... or for something more obscure Kolb's learning cycles?

I am slightly worried about your friend freshstart.. surely researching and learning new stuff is the point of a degree... or am I getting old? what is the degree in?

Fair point Robinpud. There must be general books on educational theory which she could use as a starting point for her research, or even the internet ?
