Hi. DD (4.5) is about to start Reception in September. According to her nursery school she's already working at KS1 in some areas of the curriculum. She's reading ORT Level 3 and really loves maths work.
Anyway, in light of recent bad behaviour we've thought she is bored and more than ready for school. So we thought we would try and stimulate her and bring her on at home until she starts school. But we thought we'd concentrate on the areas where she's not necessarily behind but not working at the same stage as others so as to fill in the holes and try and make her development more even.
Nursery have started up a high acheivers group but they are doing Jolly Phonics which isn't that challenging to DD seeing as she can already read. So they've called in an Educational Psychologist to come and assess her!
I thought if I could get hold of the the areas of learning and stages before I meet her in a couple of weeks I could get a lot of guidance from her about how to help DD at home.
That's all just a really long-winded way of asking for a link to where I could find this info. :)
