KS2/Y6 question, can anyone help with a website?

My ds1 is 10 and will quite happily sit for hours playing maths games on the computer and has asked me for a site that will help him with his story writing as his teacher says that this is an area where he struggles.
Does anyone know of a site that could help him?

Is this any good, lilibet? I don't know if it has writing skills but it has a few English sections - I came across the site recently looking for something else!

Thanks Janh, I'll let him have a look tomorrow!

Another one - this was a link from the bottom of the bbc page.

I've heard of young writers' clubs and found a few online:
Young Writer Online - a website for a real magazine
Stone Soup - another website to a real magazine

Hmm, those aren't what he's looking for are they?

How about something like Cyberkids or KidPub

And, as a resource, I found Purdue's Online Writing Lab There are others, but that's my alma mater.

This is not really an activity site, but I really like these hints/tips as to how to plan a great story. Caroline Lawrence's writing tips

PS Thanks everyone who's contributed here - some great sites I'm looking forward to exploring too
