Abbey Junior Reading or Rupert House Henley

Would like DD to go to Wycombe Abbey eventually and I know Rupert House have sent girls there whereas most Abbey girls will go on to the senior school but I know they give the girls a good grounding.

Things we are weighing up in this decision are which school would better prepare her for the Wycombe Abbey entrance papers (presumably Rupert House?) but also which would be better if she fails to secure a place at WA (presumably The Abbey as she will progress almost automatically to the senior school).

So views on both of them would be welcome. Potentially also throwing Lambrook into the mix, but it's a bit more of a trek

Shameless bump - has anyone got anything to say about either of them?

The Abbey is an excellent 3-18 through school, but it is not a prep school for 11+ nor CE which is what I presume you need for WA. Not many leave in Y6. Super school. I know nothing about the other two.

Where do you live- and how old is your DD-those three schools are pretty very far apart geographically. Unless you are looking at Nursery class , or already have an offer, The Abbey JS is mostly very full with waiting lists for many years.

Dolphin School has had girls go onto WA. It's half way between Rupert House and The Abbey.

Based in Hurst and we are looking at Nursery onwards - DD is registered with them already but feedback is always useful as we want to make sure we make the right decision! :)

We can move a little but we don't want to move too far away from Hurst as we have our network of mum friends here.

Dolphin is somewhere we we potentially going to look at, but the whole progressive and free thing puts us off a bit...
