OT - Recognising a poster? WWYD

Off topic I know but I am wondering what to do. I think I may have recognised a poster on the board. If correct she is a neighbour. My dilemma: if I have recognised her, has she clocked me?

Should I depart, depart and change names or what? How do you deal with it?

Clearly I dont want to be known to her, we have had a couple of run ins on the boards.

I had the same dilemma - Just name change.

(This thread may well draw more attention to you and risk outing you even more!)

name change.

i name change every 3 months regardless. been on mn for years but worry about anyone recognising me!

BelindaCarlisle · 11/02/2013 09:55

Well a quick search on your name shows you've given away a lot of details !!

Narrie · 11/02/2013 09:59

Yes, I admit it. I think sometimes we tend to get embroiled and say more than we should (or I do anyway). So name change it is. Is it possible to make a name change here without having to re register? Only I dont have a lot of e mail addy's to keep registering every three months.

( funny thing is,I bet my neighbour would be mortified if she realised I knew because she said a couple of things I know aint right and she doesnt know about :) ). I can say that because I am signing off.

I am changing my name ..... but to grrenfolder, havent you come across the MN posters who dis you when you say something because ( paraphrase) " you havent been around long enough to comment here" Surely the point of keeping a name is to establish a reputation, yet, how can you?

And is it fair of those MNers who throw this at posters then?

I am off anyway. See you somewhere, sometime ( I will stop posting for a few weeks) the other side. Anon.

You can change by going into my MN. I tend NOT to change but try to avoid too many details that would out me. I tend to assume that everyone is a regular who namechanges, unless they say they are a newbie (or act like one!) Grin
