we're thinking about moving to Harringey (only place we've found so far in north london that we can afford a house). Does anyone know any decent state primary schools near there? Or any other areas nearby with any good schools? Please help, am desperate!

Thanks, hamster. Roksely sounds lovely.

From what I've heard, it sounds like a lottery whether Coleridge and Rokesly take children from the ladder or not (must depend on no. of children in that year and no. of siblings etc I guess). We'll just have to hope that not many kids were born in Crouch End in the same year as DS!

we've been abroad for a few years and are contemplating moving back in a year's time. We're very lucky to have a place in Highgate which we can return to with our 2 little ones. Dd turns 5 soon and ds is 3.5. how do we get into a school? how do we find out about catchment areas? once we've found out which are the appropriate schools, will they waitlist us whilst we're still abroad? If there are no places, what are the options? do we have to go private? home schooling? help!
