Esher/Guildford high school commute

Hi,
I'm new to mums net so please bear with me..!
We're thinking of moving to Esher and wondered what the commute to Guildford High School would be like for our DD, by train as well as car?
Do some children at GHS live in Esher??

Loads live in Esher, there is (i think) a direct train from that area to London Road station (which is right next to GHS).
In the senior school most girls come by train, the trains are packed with GHS, Tormead and RGS girls and boys.

You'd (she'd!) have to change at Guildford. Train from nearby claygate takes you direct to London road. Yes bloody tons of kids on the trains each morning!!!! Easy drive once you're on the a3 as well.

Does anyone have any feedback on the repetition of Esher CofE High School. I’m under the impression it’s the lesser school to Hinchley Wood but is it that bad?! Thank you

As pp's, pretty large cohort of girls come in from Esher/Claygate/Cobham - all tend to come by train.
