Schools improvement officer for boys?

Some time ago I listened to a woman's hour programme which stated there was a schools improvement officer for boys namely a Gary Wilson.
Do we still have a Schools officer for boys?

I will try play again on radio 4 and see if i can find it in the meantime if anyone knowsTIA
