Moving Schools Dilemma

As some (most) of you know DD is having problems at school and I am discussing moving her.

But I have missed the closing date for moving her.

The school I would have chosen has accepted 16 children over their numbers in order to take all from the feeder schools

The only school that has places has a drug problem.

I could move her after easter to a first school (the feeder for the best school) but she would only get a place on appeal and the appeal board could go either way ie "you have a problem at your existing school....." or "you manouvered yourself in to this position so get on with it..."

Any nice easy solutions?

She kinda changes her mind this weekend we have had changes on an hourly basis

Unfortunatley I don't trust the head much (any more) and as he is her form tutor, that cuases hassle

how long do appeals take? I thought that your DD only has one more term to go till high school? Just wondered if the appeal might take so long it wouldn't be worth it?

I think you have to make a decission and tell her where she's going to school.
If it was me i'd take leave from work and HE til september.
