We have been given a route that doesn't go past the house, nor does it go to the correct school.

Despite many phonecalls we are no further forward

Every year we get this for one of the children or another

There's some element of suspense for us every year. Originally the policy (which has now changed) said the LEA would pay for transport to the nearest denominational school, but the one we'd got a place at turned out not be the nearest by about 500m (the schools are both 17 miles from us) as there was one in the opposite direction which was fractionally closer.

Eventually they agreed that we could not have known there was another closer, partly as it was in another county, and we were given transport. However, we have to reapply every year and as we now have another child there we have to explain it all each time. Don't get me wrong - we're grateful for the help and well aware that we are fortunate to have it, but every year it causes issues and we haven't yet received passes for next week...
