If you've accepted a reception place

can they retract their offer? I am majorly stressing as we were a late application but the school considered us a normal application and offered us a place (we live literally next door to school, so distance not an issue) - but someone is appealing not getting a place. Should we be worried?

I am sure they cannot retract the place. The other person's appeal cannot be rejected on numbers alone, so if their appeal is won, it means an extra in Reception.

ah, wonder how they work that then, Yafta...? hope it's the case!

even though we were a late application, Lockets?

I think the only way it would be retracted is if they found out you lied about being inzone and you weren't. I'd forget about the late application if everything else is fine.

as long as you've accepted the place and returned your acceptance letter back to the school, they can't take your place away. nothing to do with late applicants, who are in fact given priority , as far as i understand it, in considerning if to give them a place or not.

oh, thanks, all - most reassuring as dd loves this school sooooo much. and so do we.
