my DS is starting playgroup on monday

and im scared for him!
Hes just turned two, and playgroup is lovely. He starts monday afternoon, and he will go monday and tuesday for just over two hours each day, then as he gets older, he goes for an extra day etc.
I know he'll probably enjoy it, he loves being with other kids etc, but im so worried. Dont know what im worried, suppose its natural!

Yeah, totally natural felt the same with ds1 (now 6) when he started nursery at 2.4 years. Feeling exactly the same with ds2 due to start after the Easter half term hols. I know he will be fine, but it is natural to feel like that.
Just remember when you leave him to tell him you will be back to take him home. Try not to look worried or cry infront of him and if he screams and cries and the nursery staff tell you to leave and he'll be fine , leave, he will be ok.
But it is natural your not odd in any way. It will all start again in a few years time when he goes to school!!!!

Aww I felt completely the same. I started DS a few weeks ago and for the first 2 weeks he loved it. Unfortunately it then took a turn for the worse and he didnt want to go so I have had to take him out and will try again in a couple of months. The only thing I will say dropping him off was hard the first time but when I picked him up and he had seemed quite happy with what they had been doing it was a great relief.
