Are they the one and same? What led to the white paper.
Researching the topic and it seems to lack clarity- or it just could be me Blush not thinking clearly about it!

Think that the white paper has all the ideas that the government wants to put in its bill. I think you can get different colours of paper as well -green?
I think they should shred the white paper.

chestnutty, Green Papers are more consultative than White Papers. White Papers are, as you say, a statement of what the Government intends to do.

So a White paper is a 'statement of aims' so to speak what comes next???

I would have liked to see some evidence that they had spent time in schools, looking into the problems and asking staff, students and parents what they felt could help to solve them.

As it is this tries to skim over things while spending the minimum amount of money and time on the issue. They pander to 'parental choice' while avoiding the real issues of why children underperform and misbehave, and why schools end up in a downward spiral.

Superficial , spin and flim flam

Yes MB rather like English 21! But then they don't seem to take on board there findings!
After the white paper does it go as a bill before the commons to be debated?
