Any opinions ?- the website looks lovely and isi report good, am thinking for ds mainly for senior but possibly year 5/6 depending on when relocation happens...
DS is bright but mildly dyspraxic so think the stress of 11+ or v academic school would be too much but want to make sure he has the option to get good qualifications...
we would be looking at living between stroud and gloucester ... thanks.....

Bumping for you as I'm interested too. I've heard mixed things about King's so not sure.

Hi, we've noticed your request for information about the School. You might want to see the school's video at www.youtube.com/KingsSchoolGlos to get an overall picture. We can also put a request out on our Facebook site and through Twitter for you to ask current parents who might have a MumsNet account to give you their feedback if you think it would help you with your decision. Of course we would also be delighted to have you visit the school, under no obligation, to see for yourself what we are about.

My friends son goes, he moved there from his state primary school mid way through Y5 and seems very happy. He's very bright but socially quite awkward and has taken some GCSEs early with As. He was in the cathedral choir on a scholarship, but has given that up now, it was very* demanding.

Thank you Ellen

Absolutely terrible school they called my disabled daughter a “burden” to other pupils and mocked her chair she has to use. They offer no 1:1 support not even one hour if you aren’t A grade and they completely lie about the school and it’s values - education is poor and some of the teaching staff are bully’s. I have some many clients also with children there that are extremely unhappy - do not make the mistake of sending your child there. The Cheltenham school are by far better for a academic and pastoral.
