Good afternoon all - I am posting this here and in travel (and anywhere else that you could suggest)

Does anyone know of any residential short courses for French tuition. They could be in France or the UK.

My son is 12 and is studying for exams but his French is letting him down. I'm hoping to find one for between a week and a month over the summer holidays.

Any suggestions are most gratefully received - I need your help Grin

Thank you thank you thank you.

Louez un gite, cessez de parler anglais, insistez qu'il vous parle en francais. Je trouve qu'il est trop jeune pour envoyer seul en France. Ou est-ce vous habitez? Je peux l'enseigner si vous habitez pes de nous.

Ecole des Roches does residential summer courses in French as a foreign language for 8-18 year olds.

Bonsoir thanks for posting that link, it looks absolutely great.

I would love to send my children there....do you know it? Does it have a good reputation? I know it says from 8 years old, but in your experience are there many children that age who go? (sorry so many questions!!!)

yellowhouse - I'm sorry, I don't know it, I just know of it and I know that there aren't that many schools of that sort in France.

There is also Village Camps. I have heard that this is great - my DSS1 did a Village Camps course last year in England and he told me that the French camp has a great reputation among campers.

ESL have a few French language summer camps in France and Switzerland. I think the ones in France are for 13+ only, but there's one in Leysin in Switzerland which I'm sure takes from 8 up. They do classes in the morning and then have all sorts of activities and trips for the afternoons, evenings and weekends! There's more info on their website:
