Learning French - a good DVD or app for a 10 year old beginner?

Anyone suggest one?

DS will be starting French in his new secondary, and will be spending a month this summer with family in a french creole speaking country, and he'll have lots of spare time hanging round the house. I thought something to familiarise himself with French?

My godson has a game for his Nintendo DS that he likes.
Many adult learners rave about Michel Thomas - and a number of schools have started baseing courses on his method. YOu should find the Michel Thomas stuff on Amazon.

Have a look at iTunes as there are quite a few podcasts which can be downloaded free. Also the BBC languages website has some good resources too, with videos and games.

My French Coach on the DS is pretty good.
I bought it a few years ago to take on the car journy through France.
DD's were 11 and 6 at the tome, and both became quite hooked.

Thanks - I'll have a look at that.
