Probably in the wrong section so bite me if need be.

DD is tall for her age (just turned 5) and slim and I have seen that Next do slim fit trousers. ANyone had them? How are they for length? She's tall for her age but H&M jeans and trousers always fit her fine for length

TIA

Not sure about next but I've had the same problem and I know marks and spencer do taller and slim fitting trousers. Also usually with button adjusters at waist. You should be able to check on line. They (I think) have a measurement guide.

I have boys, not girls, but just wanted to say that if you are ordering in rather than trying on in store, it's not an exact science. I love the quality of the school trousers from Next, I've tried others and they just dont match up at all. However, their sizing is really a hit or a miss. They tend to be incorrectly marked and you can quite easily order two pairs and them be completely diffent sizes.

I tend to order about 10 pairs (for 2 boys) in a couple of sizes and styles in order to get 4 pairs that fit. I have in the past just ordered 2 new pairs in the next age up and found that they are actually smaller than the ones he's just grown out of!!

You might wonder why I bother? When you eventually get the right ones, they are brilliant trousers, they wash well, wear well and last the whole year without having to be replaced.

If you can get into the store then great, if not, dont assume that because one pair doesn't fit that they will all be the same. :o)
