hi sorry this if this has been done but i really cannot get my head around it all.
dd is my first. she will be 3 in june so i applied for nursery places for her at the 3 closest schools.
we wont hear back untill the 30th but im just so anxious.. silly i know but i just cant help it.
her first choice is a school - and i know i should have checked before i applied but i just assumed that it would be either morning or afternoon session-
but its a full day from 9-3.
i have to wait till monday to phone her second choice school and find out what their times are.

but i was wondering do you just get the one place or is it possible to be given a place at two schools an then you get to deide.?
i know from reading on here how few spaces there are but dont know how it works.

im kicking myself for not checking with the schools before hand about the times.
i just have this terrible feeling in my stomach about dd being away for so long. i know im being extremely silly but just want to cry about it..

What area are you in? Does the LA have a website with a list of nurseries? Ours does and it tells you the times usually of nursery hours.

There's absolutely tons of movement in school nursery places exactly because, like you, people apply to lots and they're not centrally administered in the same way as schools, so people may be offered places at more than one.

In your position, I would call the nurseries and find out how long their sessions are and be prepared to call quickly go on waiting lists once the places have been offered. You may be offered more than one place, so there may not be a problem.
