Came home from work today to be told by my nanny that nursery tried to contact me because dd wasn't feeling well and unfit for nursery. As she's crying and complaining about not feeling well.

They did leave a message on my home phone stating they had no emergency numbers for me!

FFS what did I fill in all the forms for then at the beginning of the year, including dh's details. So ifthey can't get me call dad! Also am sure I did state my nanny's mobile number on the form because at the time of filling in the forms I was working over 1h away and she would have been logical first point of contact...

Granted my mobile isn't working but because of that I went in on Monday gone to give them my new work number!

Argh... I know no point lamenting over spilled milk.. just had to get it off my chest.

Will hand in note with all and every phone numbers they could possibly need in large bold letters and give out multiple copies... i.e. reception, both teachers etc.

ARGH!

Oh btw... dd is perfectly fine now.

Oh MrsBigD, that is awful! I'd be fuming if it were me.

You do right handing in further copies of phone numbers - then there's no excuse for anything like this happening again.

Maddison... trust me I was fuming... still am so will wait till tomorrow to have a little 'chat' with the staff there. Also dd was perfectly fine when she got there so I think something must have upset her and when she gets upset she usually resorts to saying she's not feeling well...
