Feb Half Term 2013

I have found the perfect family holiday for us but for some reason it's running 10th-17th Feb which is the week before our half term holiday. I don't want to take DCs (who will then be in Y3 & Y6) out of school.

The holiday company tells me that it's because half term is earlier for some schoosl. Is that right? It seems a bit early if it is and i had a quick look at a couple of SE schools and they had the same week as us.

So is the holiday company wrong?

Feb half term 2013 is Friday 15th Feb to Monday 25th Feb for us. So the week after your holiday dates.

Half term is a bit of a mess. My boys both had the 11-15th week, but now one school has moved to the subsequent week. Jolly annoying. I think the second week is the one more stateschools are using in London, but not sure.
Bang goes ski-ing for us, she whinged unattractively.

Am not in London and our half term will be the week given by the holiday company so could depend on your LEA.
