thanks , how the bl**dy hell did he think of 250 words . Pretty impressive. My ds is 6 and a half and he struggled to think of these.

Not convinced that enterprise or carpet count as compound words (although I am a bit hazy about exactly what this means) as they don't split (enterprise isn't a combination of 'enter' and 'prise', for instance, nor is 'carpet' of 'car and 'pet', although I suppose they are from a spelling point of view). Also a bit doubtful about roundabout, Sunday and firework, but I may well be wrong...
Hopefully someone who knows about these things will come along and give a definitive answer .
