Help!!!!!

My DS is sitting for the level 6 SATS in Maths and has just told me he is looking at improving his algebra!!!! (He is 11!!!) Can anyone give me guidance on which books are the best for revision at home...we have a number of the bond series but none have the algebra that he needs. I have looked at Amazon and am a bit boggled!!!

Thanks in advance Grin

Ask school, my DD has been given a book called SAT Attack "challenge" ( I think that's what the harder ones called).

Also any level 6 KS3 revision stuff will help.

I find the "Letts KS3 success" ones good. My tip is to get the workbook aswell as the revision guide as children learn by doing rather than by just being told.

Someone on another thread said their school used CGP revision books.

Apologies. A dc thought it would be funny to post while I was on the phone. Ironically he struggles with algebra. Hope no offence caused.

Is this of any use?

Seems to be the work needed for a D on the foundation paper of GCSE.
That's the expected level for Y9 (ie her big sister).

I bet the senior schools are going to be really pissed off if lots of DCs get level 6.

A) They will already know a lot of Y7 work

B) It will boost the primaries value add score, but totally bugger theirs.

DDs primary have no choice they have OFSTED on their backs about results.

DD2 is a bit lazy so the extra work is good for her, but I wish it was extension work widening her knowledge rather than stuff she's likely to do again.
