Moving to Rochester with 12 year old child

My daughter is at a comprehensive in the north. She's quite bright (5s in her SATS) but Kent, especially Rochester, seems to be all grammar schools or comprehensives with not very good results. Will I be able to get her into a grammar school? She's already in Year 7 having started this September, but if all the grammar schools are full what will happen? Does she just have to go to the worst school around because it's got space?
