Scottish exam results - where to find them?

Hi,

I'm trying to find a record of the exam results for my kids' school. I want to see, subject by subject, how the school has performed over the last five years or so.

I've looked at Scottish Schools Online and the Scottish Qualifications Authority, but both seem only to publish general information on the number of kids getting 3 or more good passes at GCSE and Higher level.

Does anyone know where I can find more detailed information?

Any and all help gratefully received.

Thanks

kwinsw

I'm not sure I have ever seen this type of information published online. Scottish Schools Online have the best information to compare the academic achievements of different schools as you have already discovered. I have seen slightly more detailed information published by certain schools themselves (ie how many A, B, C etc passes), but not broken down into subjects.

I suggest asking the school. They are covered by Freedom of Information Act.

Thanks for the advice. I rather suspected this might be the case, though I was hoping it wouldn't be. I've recently heard some alarming things, independently and from a range of trustworthy sources, about one or two departments in the school and about the school's senior management.

There's no way to tell, just by looking at the average overall exam results, if there is any substance to these stories. That's why I wanted the breakdown, subject-by-subject, for the last few years. I'll have to bite the bullet and ask the school for the data.
