Auction of promises

As new reception mum I have got co-opted into helping to organise an Auction of Promises.

Top tips, great prizes - inspiration required!!

Have you done one? Was it a success? How much did you make? What went wrong?

We do them every other year. Regularly make over £5k.

Dinner, lots of alcohol.

We made up a brochure, bidding paddles and have a live band (a group of dads etc).

I'll see if I can find the file tomorrow. Email me on lovelymarslady at aol dot com and I'll see if I can't track it down and send you a copy.

Wow Marslady - 5K is loads. We apparently made £700 last year, but then they didn't have us on board .

I'll email you.

Thanks

JUst bumping this thread as I have been tasked with organising one for this year at school. Marslady how did you make your bidding paddles that sounds like a fab idea. If its not too cheeky could I possibly have a copy of your info as well?

Can you con your local pub/restaurant into giving a free meal (under the guise of getting new custom?)
