Teaching assistant interview ....

I've got an interview tomorrow for a Special Needs teaching assistant. I've had a couple of interviews before but not got them as not had the right experience.

However one of the areas that I always seems to confuse myself is safeguarding.

I know what it is re the prevention of things that may happen etc. But how do I answer questions about this succinctly?

And what other questions may come up?

I think if you are unsure, a good answer is always ' I would refer to the schools safeguarding policy and ensure i followed the guidelines' Safeguarding isnt just about accidents, but also child protection issuses and ensuring children are safe in school. Does the school have a website? Sometimes policies are on there, so you could read up

Or the local safeguarding board website.
