Anyone have any experience of either of these for Maths, Physics and Chemistry in 6th form?

Any similar schools suggestions instead?

TIA

girl or boy? Leweston is excellent for Science and Maths in the 6th form but girls only.

It is for a girl. So that's good. I'll check them out.

Thank you.

Ah just seen Mass and RS are compulsory at 6th form.

That's no good for us. Not atheists, but not really practicing anything, and certainly not Catholic.

And my dd's weakest topic throughout school is always RS, and it's always the subject she falls out with teachers over.

My daughter is at Bruton school for girls which I've found extremely good for science. she's very focused on her sciences. the facilities are fantastic and the staff very focused, enthusiastic and love their practical sciences. it's just over the border from dorset into Somerset.

RS isn't compulsory at 6th form.

grafit If it's a 'Faith' Sixth form then it can be if the College stipulates it (used to work for an RC school with 6th form, RS was one of the compulsory subjects)

Does your DD have a preference?

I think Bryanston is better known for it's arts subjects, but that was before they built that amazing new science block. It is truly inspirational. If I was at that school I would want to do sciences, just so I could use the building.
When we visited Canford on an open day we met quite a few of the science teachers who were all very enthusiastic about their subjects. I think the chemistry teacher said that 2/3 of the sixth form took chemistry. Sciences definately very popular at Canford.
