Junior school under KS2 Sats threshold- what happens?

Our school has achieved 53% english and maths at ks2 and has roughly had the same results for the last few years except for 2010 when the school didn't sit Sats and 2009 when the school achieved 66%!. Can anyone explain if anything happens now to the school? Having read the Department of Education website it seems to suggest that the school may be forced to become an academy. Has this happened to anyone, and what was the sequence of events? thanks very much.

If your school is being forced yo convert the HT and governing body will have been notified, and they'll be looking round now for a sponsor.

No one can tell you what changes will happen if you become an academy. Could be none. Could be heaps.
