What's the website where you can search by your address to see whether your DC would have gained a place at a school in previous years? TIA.

You can search for schools using your postcode using www.upmystreet.com and this gives you information about your nearest schools and their KS2 SATs results. Then you need to look at your LEA website and for an oversubscribed school there should be information available about furthest distance that was offered a place for the last 2/3 years. If his says "all 1st preferences offered" this means the school is undersubscribed.
A word of warning though - if you live on a very long road the distance may not be very accurate. HTH

Thanks :). How do I find out my LEA? I'm sure there was a website where you could check your address to see if it would have gained a place for each of the previous 5 years Confused.

The table on the link has an LA column giving the name of the LEA. There is also a search facility on the DFE website called school finder which may have additional information.
