ds1's school are offering French lessons from reception - he's going to start next week and we'll see if he enjoys it or not.

Anyone know of any fun websites I can use with him at home to support what he does in the lessons?

I don't, but if you would like a CD-Rom called Kidspeak French I will gladly send it to you. We had two and I discovered the duplicate whilst tidying (yes, ) my study this afternoon.

Its not really a language site at all - in fact it uses very little language - but Poisson Rouge is a bilingual site put together by an anglo-french couple. It's absolutely vast and lots of fun for little ones. Check out the alphabet panel on the right it has some lovely little games using french words.

My dd started French at school in Reception. I bought a tape for the car and corresponding book with pictures and easy words. I didn't let her onto the computer till she was 7!
