Good to see that at last the IGCSE will be included in the league tables.

here

The skewed tables make it so difficult to really see what results a school gets i.e no IGCSE included in the 5 passes. Plus all the vocational subjects counting for up to 4 passes at a time.

Be nice to see a clearer view of what a school is really doing instead of it all being glazed over as it has been in recent years.

I wonder how much of a difference it will make on reading.

Clearly the private schools will be shooting up the ranks instead of looking like they teach nothing.

MintAero Thanks for the info. I have only just read your post and agree that IGCSE deserves to be rated in the league tables. Independent schools have had a raw deal in the past.
Interesting that you have had no replies to your OP!

No they weren;t included which is why you could never get a fair inidication of how a school was doing. They started in private schools and have now been adopted by some state schools, which is probably why they have decided to include them in the future.

Would be much fairer
