I got Bill Bryson's Troublesome Words for Christmas. One of the things he mentions is that it's incorrect to say "koala bears" - they are not bears, koala is sufficient. So when a contestant on Celebrity Mastermind answered the question with "koala bears" tonight and John Humphrys said "correct" I said "well...not precisely..."
