Hello,
can any current parents with children at Thomas's Kensington comment on the extent of their religious studies program? I know the students go to a local church to sing regularly....but would like to know if they also attend a church service. Anyone have any experience or insight into this?

No experience of the Kensington school but my children went to their nursery, and there was no particular religious emphasis over and above harvest festival & a church-based nativity play. Nice school though :-)

I think they go to church weekly. They will also have timetabled religious knowledge, although, as in all schools, this will be very broad-based and so will touch relatively lightly on Christianity.

The school's overall message and motto is "be kind". The children and teachers really are kind to each other. In my opinion it is the best Primary school in London. Christian values are taught with a light touch, RE includes knowledge and understanding of all major world religions and they all go to church on Thursdays.

The new head placed a firm emphasis on Judaism in her previous school. New teachers employed generally followed this faith also as they tended to be personal friends.
