Fundraising

Not a good time to post this I know but any ideas appreciated.
My dd2 is at a pre school which is open 2 1/2 hrs a am for kids 2.9-until reception.
ATM they have 9 kids 3 funded the rest only 1-4 ams and paid for by parents. all these year groups (in our area at leaast) are low birth rates, they have quite a few kids for next sept but are struggling to keep going until then. We raised over £100 with a quiz and raffle for xmas but more money is needed. Parents provide fruit for snacks and some money is raised by book clubs etc. Any more ideas for raisng money /saving money to keep this excellent pre-schoolgoing?

I sell phoenix cards and raised some money for the playscholl my daughter goes to. All you would have to do is get everyone to collect orders from family etc and should get 10% of anything sold for the school. They are beautiful cards and giftwrap which are really good value

Try Comic Relief,Children in Need and local goverment for funding

They do a catalogue thing forgot the name for now and have raised some money at xmas with it.
ATM they are just about covering the rent on the hall and staff are working 1 am for free each (paid for rest of the week)
They have 3 new p/t kids after xmas butnot a lot of money still.

Can you let kids in younger or offer extra sessions to existing kids? The pre school DS1 went to has similar probs and DD has just been offered 2 sessions from Feb, even though she won't be 2 years 9 months till easter.

Your problems are the numbers getting involved, with only 9 kids it will be hard.

You could also register as a charity and that might enable funding and things

They have already lowered the age and they can have up to 26 kids so itis up to parents to up days.
Webb ivory is the one they have, I am looking at the others and will pass the info on.
Part of the prob is that many people want full time or all day sessions and they only offer ams, we have been targeting SAHMs and WOTHM who use Grandparents who would be more likely to use the service.
