ginn reading scheme

Any idea how this relates to ORT or book colour bands or anything?

DD is in year one just starting level 6 and I've no idea how she compares to her peers (as I don't ask) or to anyone else as this seems to be the only school I've come across with ginn.

She likes the stories though

Thanks

My DS has this scheme, he is also in year one and reading level 6. The teacher seems to think he is working at the national average, if not slightly above with reading.
Hope this helps

Thank you. That's reassuring and puts things in context.

This equates to about Turquoise level of the book banding, if that helps!

Thanks just looked at the examples on reading chest and their turquoise books fit well with what DD is getting. Why do they have to make the whole system so confusing?

because Ginn and ORT are very old schemes published before the idea of levels and book banding became widely used so each publisher had their own system
