children's yoga classes

Does anyone know of any children's yoga classes in London for age 4? I have recently started yoga classes and ds is desperate to do it too. He joins me when I practise at home and every time I go to class gets upset that he cannot do it too. Triyoga is only for older children and is terribly expensive.

Thanks, dinosaur. I went to their website just now but they have no children's classes. My yoga teacher did not know of any for that age group. I don't want ds to lose his interest because he is really keen. Do you know of any yoga retreats where children are welcome, either in the class or in their own club?

I know it's not at all the same, but there are yoga videos for children that you could do with him at home. We have this one which is not great quality (in audiovisual terms) but my children enjoy.

Don't know where you live, but you could try Jacksons Lane Community Centre in Highgate. I took my autistic son there for yoga for children with special needs, he loved it! That makes me think that maybe they have other kids' classes?

St. Mary's Church on Upper Street Islington had a class for children on Saturday mornings, about 10.30 am. That was last year so not sure if its still going but might be worth giving them a ring.

I bought 'Fun Yoga for Kids' with Barbara Currie (Colin the Cobra's Forest of Secrets). It was in a discount shop for just 4 pounds and excellent. There are cartoon characters and ds loves it (don't get it out as often as I should though!). Hope this is of help.
