Much as I love them.... I can't wait for Monday (Back to school day...)
They have been off for eight weeks, and we've only been away for 1 week.....

But there are so many things I want to do once I get some time to myself again, I don't know where to start!

Should I:

  • head off to the pool/gym/ spa etc as a reward Grin
  • start deep-cleaning the house/ tidying up etc Hmm
  • meet up with girlfriends for lunch/coffee and a good old gossip
  • try to kick start my flagging freelance work portfolio again

or perhaps just sit out in the sun with a Brew in the garden and enjoy the silence Smile

What will you be doing?

DD going back to school also means I go back to school too, so work mainly.

TBf I do only work pt though so do have every afternoon to myself again, so 3 hours most days I guess.

I will be mainly:
relaxing a little and enjoying quiet lunches
bit of school based work
getting on top of the house stuff again
starting to plan some decorating/refurnishing stuff for the house

LIZS · 03/09/2011 09:18

Back to work :( , juggling drop offs/pick ups in 2 locations, maybe fit in some gardening and decorating before the weather turns

StuckUpTheFarawayTree · 03/09/2011 09:21

Looking after the 10 month old, who is tied to me. Very clingy bf girl. Must admit though we've had 2 lovely days together as 7 yr old went back on Thursday.

LovetheHarp · 03/09/2011 14:12

I will be juggling work with picking up and dropping off 4 children from various locations all week plus activitie and our frantic life will begin. I get zero time to myself! I would like to change that a little, hopefully this year, but it is so hard to fit it all in!

Back to work and driving up and down to after school activities. Mind you, I absolutely loved the long summer holiday, we have done lots of nice things and I could have done with another month ...

Start some courses
Try to start the Big Tidy
May have a bit of work in October.
Secondary work season is November to January (hopefully - at least December) so will do that then.

UniS · 05/09/2011 15:04

first day back today and I have

looked at e-mail
been for a 5 mile training ride
had a shower and lunch
gone to work ( school lunchtime assistant)
Picked veg for tea
read for a bit
made bread
and am about to clean teh bathroom and vacuum bedrooms.

I have loved having the house to myself again.

CrosswordAddict · 05/09/2011 16:11

First day back today Grin
I cleaned a bit, washed two loads, went to Wilkinsons, Marks and Tesco.
Came home, sorted the house a bit more and went out to a friend for coffee.

NormaSnorks · 05/09/2011 19:56

OK - so, first day back, and I did:

  • 3 loads of laundry Angry
  • spent time sorting out my new iphone4 Smile
  • tidied out old uniform for 2nd hand shop
  • did some online shopping

and that was about it!

Perhaps gym & swim tomorrow then.....Hmm

Today I did lots of mystery shopping.
And went to a meeting to plan Brownies for the next term (although that was in the evening).
Will be helping in both children's classes hopefully as well.

Aww, this thread is making me so jealous, everyone getting on top of their chores, ive still got a few days to go and desperately need to go on a diet and take some exercise!
