when does your state school brek up?

we in the trasnsition year to a 6 term year and kdis brek up on the tuesday the ? 21st

Our school is in Surrey and breaks up on Wednesday 21st, DS2 playgroup finishes on 16th.

Back to school on the 5th and playgroup on the 9th.

I think the 6 termer is supposed to reduce the summer holiday to about 4 weeks. Then the oct break will be 2 weeks, and instead of easter there will b a set 2 week spring break at the same time each year. Not sure about the feb half term.

Main problem, other thn childcare, will be the re adjusting for reception age if they attend for 5 weeks, then have a 2 week break.

The 16th and its a pain because I'll have to have everything done by then and bearing in mind I've barely started........

Although I do have plans to rope them in with the preChrismas clean!

DD2 - 20th December

DD3 - 23rd December (she is NOT happy!!)

My mum and dad teach in a state school and break up on the 22nd.

The 16th, so I'm going to have to make sure all xmas pressies are sorted becasue there is no way I can drag my ds around the shops.

23rd and not back until the 10th!!!!!
Would much prefer to break up 16th and back on 3rd -as many of you seem to - can't understand why its so late. what on earth am I going to do with them for that horrible dead time in January?

23rd - 9th. I like it as it seems to make Christmas last for ages! (mind you, I'm not allowed to take holidays between Christmas and New Year so I'll be working - dh will be off though)

Both boys (one primary, one secondary) break up on the 16th which I like - I'd much prefer them to have a week off to enjoy Christmassy stuff rather than loads of time afterwards. Both back on the 4th (inset days on the 3rd).

20th december and go back on the 4th january.

Xmas stop 23/12/05 back 9/1/06, Just noticed today Easter hols are very long next year for us stop 31/3/06 back 19/4/06

22nd - 9th - Scotland

16th to 3rd (why didn't I think of a pre-xmas holiday?!)

Break up on 22nd, back on 9th.

Break up 20th - back on the 3rd

9 back 8th?-dd2 (refurbishments!)

16th here too, back on the 3rd.
Am quite looking forward to those few days before Christmas as am planning on having everything sorted by then, just food to get late in the week. Maybe ice-skating at Somerset House or Hampstead Heath.
