english language school, north london?

i would suggest you buy your local paper and look in the classified ads to see if anyone is advertising for host families.good luck

oh sorry i misunderstood,i thought you wanted to host a german student !But i would still look through your paper at the local schools and find something suitable.

Have you looked at the EnglishUK website? All of the British Council accredited schools are on there and are not cowboys.

Our au-pairs went to St Giles' in Highgate. The other one that their friends went to was in Excel college in Muswell Hill.
They all learnt a reasonable amount of english but I think that was more to do with the boyfriends they had Grin

I work in English language teaching so know the reputation of the schools fairly well.

thenevernever is right - both schools she mentions have reasonable reputations. She's also right about the boyfriends - best way to learn a language... Wink
