I am looking at tution for my dd, who is struggling with maths in year 2. I have been offered a trial and it looks interesting as a supplement to normal school work. Any thoughts?

I can't find it when I google. Do you mean 'explore learning' or something else?

Does she need maths tuition? - is she going to get a level 1 or below in her SATS?

Can you do 10 mins a night with her yourself? Going through a book from WH Smiths?

How expensive is it after the 'free trial'?

Is it personalised to her? Or are they just going through the same program they do with everyone?

If she needs tuition - I would think private 1:1 tuition, which is adapted to her, would be a better way to go......

www.explorelearning.org.uk/

Have a look and see what you think.

She is level one and below, I need new approach. It works out around £9 per hour and I can use Child vouchers to pay.

I wouldn't touch it. There's been a few threads about it recently.....
